Marilyn Green

Marilyn Green is a former President's Scholar and Ford Foundation Fellow,
with degrees in music and art. She has danced and choreographed professionally and taught at New York University, Hunter College and the University of Cincinnati, as well as offering group sessions lasting from three hours to two full days.

Her work awakens the physical link between power and performance (of any
kind, even life)

For musical groups a seminar can bring unprecedented unity and shared
power, the ability to transcend and melt away technical problems, a new
and very different bond with their director.

For individuals in music the work can dissolve barriers with the instrument and create a new ease and richness of performance, a new dynamic and emotional range and a sharp reduction in time spent memorizing and reading music.

For dancers and actors there is a stronger connection between sound, movement and breath that unlocks a very dynamic role between the play and the audience.

For visual artists there is new flow from the body and the intention to the
work and the audience.

Seminars use bodywork techniques drawn from Laban and Bartenieff, yoga,
modern dance, movement choirs and traditional ritual. Although a given
session can be focused on one art or issue, open seminars can benefit anyone at any level of ability.
